GAMEDESIGN JOURNAL

Un poco intermezzo

Due to personal and professional reasons, there was a tiny, 9 months break here. I’ve just returned to this blog now, re-reading content; the published and a surprisingly big amount of unpublished work. And decided to continue. Of course.

A little summary of the previous months: during the waiting (for my pieces to be manufactured), I slowly abandoned this project. Just bit. I’ve been very busy, doing a really big design work for the Budapest Beer Museum and after that, working as an art director, managing a massive set for an upcoming movie with Dave Bautista… But not like I want to make excuses, the main reason was that I reached some dead ends in the search for the prototype figure cutting, and it was convenient to just wait for the only promising half-dead end manufacturer – an opportunity which is slowly faded and fading away since.

So at the end I’ve just asked a colleague of mine, and 3d printed all the parts, including the dice – thanks again Zoli!

From then (in the middle of this september) our physical testing period has started, and simultaneously I implemented everything to Tabletopia, and started to test online also. Finally.

Now, I’m getting back to the past, continuing from… I think from somewhere, in the progression from brainstorming to designing.
